Summer Recap: Top Property Sales from December to February



Many Australian capitals have a reputation for being chronically unaffordable, but that doesn’t mean sales volumes are slowing. The summer season still saw the sale of thousands of gorgeous properties across the country – everything from restored historic buildings, luxurious family homes and penthouse apartments with sprawling views made the cut.

Following are some of the priciest property sales from December 2016 to February 2017:

Victoria

Mornington – $6m
An iconic building on absolute waterfront, this stunning home on the Mornington Peninsula delivers three levels of opulent living. Fetching a sale price of $6m, this property is one of only three residences with access to a private track leading to coveted Mills Beach.

Templestowe – $7.2m
A cul-de-sac property located right in the heart of Templestowe, Yolande Court boasts of three contemporary homes with GRZ 3 classification. Its proximity to Templestowe Primary School, Westfield, and The Pines makes it easily accessible to private schools, sports facilities, and various transportation options.

Mount Eliza – $4.575m

This sprawling expanse of a home offers a luxurious retreat in the seaside town of Mount Eliza. With a gorgeous landscape, awe-inspiring bay views and an abundance of natural light, this cliff-top 2,300-square metre family dwelling sold for a cheeky $4.575m.

New South Wales

You get more bang for your buck in Tassie – just look at this seven-bedroom home, which speaks of grandiose and elegance right from its imposing façade. Sold for $1,467,500, 25 Fitzroy Place is just a stone’s throw away from the Hobart CBD, making it an easily accessible yet relaxing abode.

Battery Point – $1.4m

Located in one of the most sought-after suburbs in Southern Tasmania, this 424-square metre home in Battery Point is just a short stroll away from Salamanca, the Hobart CBD, and the Sandy Bay shopping complex. Queensland

Western Australia

East Perth – $1.8m
