Spring is traditionally the most robust real estate season of the year. But by all reports, August has been keeping real estate agents just as busy as the warmer months, with a number of top sales achieved in the last month of winter.
Following is a selection of some of the most exclusive and unique top-end homes sold throughout August…
Glen Iris – $5.77m

Armadale – $4m

Middle Park – $3.5m
Over in Middle Park, a vendor accepted an offer of $3.5m on this charming three-bedder, which boasts a modern chef’s kitchen and a fully renovated bathroom.

A budget of $2m doesn’t always get you far in Sydney these days, but the new owners of this light-filled Mosman townhouse were thrilled to get same change from their spend of $2m on this lovely home.
Sydney – $7.1m
In the city centre, a touch over $7m secured this stunning inner city penthouse, which tops one of Australia’s most prestigious buildings—the exclusive ‘Pullman Quay Grand’.
Kemps Creek – $3.2m
But out west is where buyer’s really get some bang for their buck: a purchase price of $3.2m secured this renovated four-bedroom home in Kemps Creek, which sits on five acres of land.
Budds Beach – $1.73m
Glistening water views abound from this gorgeous whole-floor sub penthouse in Budds Beach on the Gold Coast. Sold for $1.73m, this stunning renovated apartment makes the most of the 360º view with floor-to-ceiling windows.
Twin Waters – $1.1m
A little further north on the Sunshine Coast, a happy new buyer just handed over $1.1m for this beautiful family home in Twin Waters.
Noosa Heads – $2.07m
But it’s this $2.07m four-bedroom luxury home in Noosa Heads that really stands out in recent sales: replete with a beautiful pool and boasting a modern, sleek architectural style, this home wouldn’t look out of place in the most cosmopolitan cities in the world.

Over in Tiwi, this grand entertaining home, which offers a beautiful outdoor entertaining area overlooking the pool to take advantage of the city’s sunshine, sold for $1.1m.
Lindisfarne – $1.8m

Dynnyrne – $1.1m
Still on the water, this four-bedroom Dynnyrne home – boasting a River Derwent view – exchanged hands for $1.1m.
Battery Point – $1.45m
And in the prestigious suburb of Battery Point, $1.45m secured this gorgeous character-filled three-bedroom home.
Duncraig – $770k
Lastly, proving that Perth’s property market is still turning over (despite the sluggish economy), this stunning family home sold relatively fast for the competitive price of $770,000.
Winthrop – $870k
Over in Winthrop, a new buyer paid $870,000 for this warm and light-filled family residence.
